How Your Reward Points Gains are Calculated

To calculate how many Reward Points you’ll earn for a correct prediction, just use this formula:

Reward Points = [Fan Tokens staked] × [estimated daily earnings] × [prediction multiplier]

This shows that the more Fan Tokens you stake, the more you can earn!

What is the Club Staking Cup?

It’s the first-ever Fan Token tournament, and it’s changing the game.

In the Club Staking Cup, you stake Fan Tokens to back your club in a head-to-head knockout. But here’s the twist — it’s not just about staking big. Your club’s real-world performance (goals scored, clean sheets, wins, losses and more) boosts your score or drags it down.

Who’s playing in the tournaments? 

Nine Socios.com partners play in the World’s Top Club Competition, and qualified for the Club Staking Cup.

How Does Staking Work?

You’ll get a chance to stake your tokens for the whole tournament duration. The more you stake, the more points you score for your club — but that’s only half the game.

It’s important to note that if you already have Fan Tokens staked for other features on the Socios.com app, these will remain staked but not contribute to this tournament. Fans and teams start fresh, with zero points or tokens staked until the staking window opens (on June 12th).

Your club’s on-pitch performance will also earn (or cost) you points.

Here’s how the points break down:

• 1 Fan Token staked = +1 point
  
• Win = +20,000 points
  
• Draw = +7,500
  
• Loss = -5,000
  
• Goal scored = +4,000
  
• Goal conceded = -1,500
  
• Clean sheet = +5,000
  
• Own goal = -2,000

Real performance affects Club Staking Cup matches

Let’s take one quarter final of the Club Staking Cup as an example:

Flamengo play Inter Milan and you’ve staked your Fan Tokens to back your team. 

On the real pitch, Flamengo are defeated by 3-1, therefore losing points for the loss and goals conceded, while Inter win 2-0, earning points for the win, more for the 2 goals scored, and even more for keeping a clean sheet.

So even if $MENGO fans staked more tokens, $INTER could still come out on top thanks to their real performance. Your team’s success helps you win.

Fan Token Staking

This is the catch-all term used to describe the process of staking your Fan Tokens on Socios.com in order to earn daily Reward Points. It’s the most effective and simple way to earn Reward Points on Socios.com, that can be used to claim extraordinary rewards and experiences.

Stake

This effectively means locking your Fan Tokens in exchange for daily Reward Points. Staking is now a prerequisite to take part in polls on Socios.com and typeform quizzes. When you stake your Fan Tokens they will become non-tradable.

Unstake

This is the action of unlocking your staked Fan Tokens. As soon as you unstake your Fan Tokens you’ll stop earning daily reward points for staking. Once you have unstaked your Fan Tokens you will enter a 7-day cool down period at the end of which you can claim your Fan Tokens back.

Cool-down period.

This is a seven-day period which begins the moment you unstake your Fan Tokens. Your Fan Tokens remain in non-tradable state during this period.

Claim back

This is when you can reclaim your Fan Tokens at the end of the seven-day cool down period and use them in the market.

Reward Points Pool

This is the total amount of Reward Points available to be distributed proportionately among all users who have staked that Fan Token.

Reward Points Available

This is the total amount of Reward Points available daily for each partner, which can be influenced by market factors.

Estimated Daily Earnings

This is the amount of Reward Points, rounded to the nearest whole number, that you can expect to receive from the pool in one day.

Reward Points Formula

This is the formula through which daily earnings are calculated which is:
[FTs locked by a user x Reward Points Pool]/ tot number of FTs locked by all users

Overall Fan Tokens staked

This is the total number of Fan Tokens staked at the given time.

Network Fee

Also known as ‘Gas Fees’, these are non-refundable charges required for processing blockchain transactions. These estimated fees cover validation costs and may vary based on network congestion and transaction complexity.

Smart Contract

This is an automated programme on a blockchain that carries out actions when specific conditions are met – such as verifying a user has enough Fan Tokens before submitting a vote on the blockchain.

Voting 

If you want to participate in a poll, then you’ll need to first stake Fan Tokens for the team that is running the poll. 

If you have already staked all your Fan Tokens for a certain team then you can participate in all the polls run by that team. For example, if you own $JUV Fan Tokens and stake them all, then you can take part in all the polls Juventus run.

Quizzes

Very much the same as polls, you’ll need to stake to participate. And if you’ve already staked your Fan Tokens then you are good to go!

Predictor

You don’t need to stake your Fan Tokens to use the predictor feature.

Locker Room

Staked Fan Tokens can’t also be used for Locker Room. So, that means using unstaked Fan Tokens or acquiring more to participate if your Fan Tokens are staked.

In this second piece, we’ll dive deeper into the actual process of staking and unstaking, explaining exactly what you need to do.

Staking Your Fan Tokens

The following provides a step by step guide to staking your Fan Tokens, but the in-app experience for staking has also been designed to be as intuitive and straightforward to follow for users as possible.

• Go to My Fan Tokens in the wallet. Click on the ‘Stake and Earn’ tab, located by the Fan Token you wish to stake.
• Choose how many Fan Tokens you wish to stake. Your estimated daily earnings will be shown.  The Rewards Pool, showing the total Reward Points available and total Fan Tokens staked for that particular Fan Token will also be visible. Click Stake to proceed.
• Next, review the details of your stake and confirm.
• You will then be asked to submit your passkey to approve the transaction. 
• After this, you’ll receive a notification letting you know that your stake has been successfully submitted and confirming your balance will be updated once it has been processed. At this point, you can click on ‘Back to Wallet’ which will return you to the homepage.

Unstaking your Fan Tokens

The process for unstaking Fan Tokens is also clearly laid out in the app, but for extra support you can check out the steps shown below.

• Click on the Fan Token you wish to unstake.
• Scroll down to the ‘Staked’ section, where you’ll see your staked Fan Token balance. Tap ‘click to unstake’
• Enter the amount of Fan Tokens you wish to unstake and then tap the unstake button.
• Next, review the details of your unstake and confirm.
• You will then be asked to submit your passkey to approve the transaction. 
• After this, you’ll receive a notification letting you know that your unstake has been successfully submitted and confirming your balance will be updated once it has been processed. You will also have the option to view the transaction details. At this point, you can click on ‘Back to Wallet’, which will return you to the relevant Fan Token partner section.

Cool-off post unstake.

Once you’ve unstaked, there will be a 7-day cooling off period during which your Fan Tokens will move to ‘pending claimable’. At the end of the seven days, you will be able to stake them again or use them in the market.  To help, you’ll receive a push notification at the end of the cool off period, alerting you that your Fan Tokens are ready to be claimed. At this point, all you need to do is:

• Head to the Fan Token partner page.
• Tap ‘click to claim’.
• Review the details of your claim and confirm.
• Submit your passkey to approve the transaction. 
• After this, you’ll receive a notification letting you know that your claim has been successfully submitted and confirming your tokens will be restored to your balance once it has been processed.

What is Fan Token Staking?

Fan Token Staking means locking your Fan Tokens in your wallet. In exchange for doing so you’ll earn reward points and you’ll also be able to participate in key features, like voting.

How do I earn Reward Points for staking?

All you need to do is stake your Fan Tokens and a fresh batch of Reward Points will be allocated to you at midnight each day.

How many Reward Points will I earn?

That depends on how many Fan Tokens you stake. Before confirming your stake, you’ll see your estimated daily rewards in the Reward Points pool.

Sounds good. How do I get started?

Just follow the clear and straightforward in-app instructions to get started and stake your Fan Tokens.

It’ll go like this.

• Hit ‘stake and earn’ to get started
• Choose the amount of Fan Tokens you wish to stake from the available balance
• Note the daily rewards you will receive from Reward Points pool
• Review and sign the transaction to confirm your intent to stake your Fan Tokens
• Receive confirmation of your submitted stake
• Start earning Reward Points on your staked Fan Tokens

Got it. What were you saying about needing to stake to vote etc?

Yep. Soon, if you want to vote in a poll or participate in quizzes, you’ll need to stake your Fan Tokens. Different polls, teams, quizzes will require you to stake differing amounts of Fan Tokens to participate, so check the requirements. Note – once you stake your Fan Tokens to take part in a poll or a quiz they will be locked until the poll or quiz has been completed, at which point you’ll be able to unstake them.

Which brings us nicely to the next question!

How do I unstake Fan Tokens?

You can unstake your Fan Tokens anytime, at which point you’ll no longer receive Reward Points for staking.

If you want to unstake, follow the steps in the app as below.

• Click the unstake button from your staked Fan Token balance
• Select the amount you want to unstake
• Review and sign the transaction to confirm your intent to unstake your Fan Token.
• Receive confirmation your Fan Tokens have been unstaked

Once you’ve unstaked, there will be a 7-day cooling off period during which your Fan Tokens will move to ‘pending claimable’. At the end of the seven days, you will be able to stake them again or use them in the market.
