The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is around the corner, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. One big reason is the chance to see teams backed by Fan Tokens hit the world stage.

These tokens have brought supporters closer to their clubs, and now some of those clubs are set to compete for global glory. So, which Fan Token teams will be in action? Read on to find out.

Which Fan Token Teams Will Compete in the Club World Cup 2025?

Fan Tokens are digital assets that give supporters new ways to connect with their favorite football clubs. Fans can use these tokens to vote in club polls, win matchday rewards, and get access to exclusive experiences. It’s like having a say in your club’s decisions—no matter where you live.

These tokens are mostly available on platforms like Socios.com and Binance. Top teams like FC Barcelona, PSG, Juventus, and many more already have fan tokens in circulation. With just a few clicks, fans can buy tokens and feel more involved in their club’s journey.

Several clubs taking part in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup have fan tokens already in use. These tokens allow supporters to get closer to their teams by joining polls, earning rewards, and getting VIP experiences. Here are some of the clubs with Fan Tokens:

Paris Saint-Germain ($PSG)

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Fans have voted on kit designs, warm-up messages, and more. Winners have received signed shirts and match tickets.

Manchester City ($CITY)

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Token holders have helped choose team photos, stadium music, and had chances to win meet-and-greet experiences.

Juventus ($JUVE)

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Supporters have picked goal celebration songs and designed matchday banners shown inside the stadium.

Atlético de Madrid

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Fans voted on captain’s armband designs and joined exclusive fan chats with club legends.

FC Barcelona ($BAR)

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Token holders chose motivational messages shown in the locker room and joined private video calls with players.

Flamengo ($MENGO)

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Fans have taken part in club-related trivia contests and prediction games with token-based prizes.

Inter Milan ($INTER)

  • Platform: Socios.com
  • Fan Interaction: Token holders helped decide pre-match playlist songs and saw their names appear on the team’s official digital channels.

Fan Tokens give real supporters a voicemail in how their club connects with them. Whether it’s picking a new anthem or joining in on giveaways, these small touches make the matchday experience more personal.

Enhancing the Club World Cup Experience with Fan Tokens

Fan Tokens are changing the way football fans connect with their favorite clubs — and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is shaping up to be their biggest moment yet. These digital assets offer more than just bragging rights. They’re now giving fans real rewards, matchday perks, and a stronger voice in club decisions.

Real Benefits for Fan Token Holders

During the Club World Cup, Fan Token holders from clubs like Manchester City, Flamengo, Inter Milan, and Barcelona are enjoying special treatment. Some of the top perks include:

  • VIP matchday access
Selected holders of $CITY, $MENGO, and $INTER tokens have received free tickets or upgrades to hospitality boxes at games.
  • Meet and greets with players
Token holders have won chances to meet their football idols in exclusive sessions held before or after matches.
  • Official merchandise giveaways
Fans have claimed signed shirts, limited-edition scarves, and other gear simply by holding or staking Fan Tokens on the Socios platform.
  • On-pitch experiences
Some fans have taken part in official matchday events like flag-bearing or presenting the match ball — all thanks to their active engagement with their Fan Tokens.

What Fans Are Saying

“I’ve followed Flamengo for 15 years, but the $MENGO token gave me something I never had before — I walked on the pitch at halftime in front of 40,000 people. It was unreal.”
Diego S., Rio de Janeiro

“With my $INTER tokens, I voted on the captain’s armband design for the tournament. Feeling like I had a say made me feel closer to the club.”
Valentina M., Milan

“I won a signed Manchester City shirt by joining one quiz on the Socios app. I didn’t think Fan Tokens were serious at first, but now I’m hooked.”
Craig T., Manchester

How to Get Involved

If you’re new to Fan Tokens, joining in is easier than you might think. Here’s a quick guide to getting started and joining the action during the Club World Cup.

Step 1: Pick a Club

Start by checking if your favorite club has a Fan Token. Some of the popular ones participating in the Club World Cup include:

  • $CITY ( owned by Manchester City)
  • $BAR (owned Barcelona)
  • $INTER (owned by Inter Milan)
  • $MENGO (owned by Flamengo)

Step 2: Download the Socios App

Most Fan Tokens are available through the Socios app — the main platform for club fan engagement. It’s free to download and works on both Android and iOS.

Step 3: Buy Fan Tokens

You’ll first need to buy $CHZ (Chiliz), the app’s native currency. Once you have $CHZ, you can swap it for any Fan Token inside the app. The process is similar to buying credit for a game or topping up your wallet.

Step 4: Participate in Fan Activities

Once you hold a Fan Token, you can start joining polls, quizzes, and prediction games. These events often come with real-world rewards, especially during big tournaments like the Club World Cup.

Step 5: Watch for Giveaways

During the tournament, clubs run special promotions for token holders. Stay active in the app, join daily challenges, and watch your club’s feed for chances to win free tickets, gear, or player meetups.

Final Thoughts

Fan Tokens are adding a new layer to the football fan experience — especially during global events like the Club World Cup. They give regular supporters a shot at once-in-a-lifetime moments. Whether it’s voting on matchday choices or winning VIP access, Fan Tokens are helping clubs bring fans closer than ever.

Now’s a great time to get involved. With just a few taps, you could go from watching the game to being part of it.

When a team scores FIVE goals in a final, indeed the biggest club final, it’s not just a victory, it’s a showcase. PSG’s dominance this season was clear: Champions of France, winners of the French Cup, and now at Europe’s summit. Their success mirrors the rise of Fan Tokens, and this article explores the reflection in the market.

This victory was a long time coming. Paris Saint-Germain tried and failed, especially after building a super-squad to rule all. But this season, a pivot to youth and a smart manager did the trick. They became a quiet steamroller, flattening opponents with a style of football on the pitch that was unplayable.

PSG: Chart toppers in every aspect

This was a defining victory for the French side. It was also a defining moment in the crypto sphere. Two teams that own Fan Tokens™ going head to head on the biggest stage. Two innovators  taking the game into a new era. PSG, validators on the Chiliz Chain want to dominate. No longer just a fashion trend, or a club hooveirng for global superstars up for attention. A new style of attractive football, and new ways for fans to interact though Web3 technology.

$PSG Fan Token™ key moments

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Fan Token™ ($PSG) exhibited notable price fluctuations in correlation with the club’s on-field achievements during the 2024–25 season. An analysis of the token’s performance around the key victories in the French Cup, Ligue 1, and the UEFA Champions League—reveals the dynamic interplay between sporting success and Fan Token™ valuation.

Supercup Win

In January 2025, following Paris Saint-Germain’s victory over AC Milan in the Super Cup, PSG’s Fan Token™  ($PSG) experienced a modest price increase. On January 10, 2025, the token closed at approximately $3.18, and by January 11, it had risen to around $3.22, marking a 1.3% increase.

French Cup Victory:

PSG secured the French Cup on 27 April 2025. In the days leading up to the final, $PSG Fan Token™ experienced a modest uptick, trading at approximately $2.00. Following the victory, the token’s price saw a brief surge to around $2.15, reflecting heightened fan enthusiasm. However, this increase was short-lived, with the price stabilizing back to pre-final levels within a week.

Ligue 1 Triumph:

Clinching the Ligue 1 title on 12 May 2025, PSG’s domestic dominance was mirrored by a more pronounced movement in the $PSG token. The token’s price climbed to $2.25 in the immediate aftermath, buoyed by the club’s consistent performance throughout the season. Nonetheless, this peak was transient, with the price receding to $2.10 by the end of May.

Champions League Success:

The pinnacle of PSG’s season came with their UEFA Champions League victory on 31 May 2025. Anticipation for this achievement had been building, with the $PSG token appreciating to $2.30 in the days preceding the final. Post-victory, the token reached a high of $2.40, marking the season’s peak. Yet, consistent with previous patterns, the price corrected to $2.15 within a week.

These trends show us that Fan Token™ price is affected by on-field success, even as they do tend to fall back to pre-victory prices

How to get $PSG Fan Tokens™

Paris Saint-Germain joined Socios.com on 11 September 2018, marking the start of a new era in fan engagement, before launching its Fan Token in 2020 and can now easily acquire Paris Saint-Germain Fan Tokens™ by simply registering and following a few straightforward steps.

1. Open the Socios.com app and tap Wallet.

2. Top up your Wallet with our in-app currency, Chiliz ($CHZ)

3. Tap Trade –> tap Market in the top right corner –> type PSG in the search bar.

PSG Fan Rewards in the Quadruple season

Using the Socios.com app, PSG Fan Token™ holders had a host of rewards this season, including exclusive access to watch parties at the Parc des Princes to watch the team as they travelled to away matches in Europe. Fans redeemed merch, exclusive Digital Collectibles, got special discounts and were even offered the chance to claim the rare PSG Silver Card.

PSG Silver Card: More Access

One dedicated PSG fan redeemed the ultra-rare PSG Silver Card NFT this season via Socios.com. Valued at over $6,000, the card unlocked PSG x Jordan Wings gear, VIP matchday experiences, behind-the-scenes access, and exclusive player events. It marked a standout example of how $PSG Fan Tokens™ can deliver real-world, once-in-a-lifetime rewards to loyal supporters.

More to come from PSG, on and off the pitch

This season may have ended with a quadruple and a record-breaking Champions League final, but for PSG, it feels like just the beginning. On the pitch, they’ve silenced critics, redefined their identity, and shown they can dominate without relying solely on star power. Off the pitch, they’ve made equally loud moves—reshaping fan engagement through innovation and technology.

The $PSG Fan Token™ is a front-row seat to the club’s journey. From merchandise and VIP experiences to real-time market action, it brings supporters closer than ever to the heartbeat of the team.

AC Milan are busy this transfer window as they look to build a squad that can take back the Serie A title from their big rivals, Inter Milan.

Paulo Fonseca is the new man in charge at the San Siro Stadium and he’ll be hoping he can make an instant impact.

Key Signings

The big signing so far for Milan is that of Spanish international, Alvaro Morata. The veteran striker was a huge star at Euro 2024, and he’ll be hoping to maintain that form at his new club.

Elsewhere, Milan have also made two low key signings with Samuele Longo and Alex Jiminez also joining the club.

Notable Departures

The key departure from Milan has been the exit of Oliver Giroud who has left the club to play in America.

Rade Krunić has also left to sign for Fenerbahce and it’s also the end of the road at Milan for Simon Kjaer who was at the club for four years.

Transfer Strategy and Objectives

Fonseca will have a long-term plan at Milan so it’s currently unclear what his plan is at this stage of his reign.

The new manager may want to see what he has at his disposal before deciding on new additions and that could see Milan having a busy January.

For now, Morata is the main signing and there’s hopes his performances could give Milan a huge push in the title race.

Key Fixtures and Challenges

The major issue for Milan will be closing the gap on Inter and also holding off Juventus.

The standards have always been high at Milan and the club always believe they should be challenging for the top honours.

If Milan can make a positive start under their new manager, then it can instantly put pressure on Inter in what could be a fascinating battle for the crown.

Fan Reactions and Expectations

Milan fans always expect their team to compete for the title and this coming season will be no different.

Milan has a new manager and will want to strengthen their squad, but chasing down Inter will be a big priority.

Their supporters may have to be patient as Fonseca puts his ideas into place, but a decent title push may be enough to satisfy their hunger.

The Olympic Games are here, and football fans will be treated to a festival of football over the coming weeks as some of the world’s best under-23 players will be in action.

The eyes of the world will be watching Argentina as they look to build on their World Cup and Copa America successes by adding Olympic gold.

Here, we look at Argentina in the 2024 Olympics.

Composition of the Squad

  • GK: Geronimo Rulli (Villarreal CF)
  • GK: Leandro Brey (Boca Juniors)
  • DF: Marco Di Cesare (Racing Club)
  • DF: Julio Soler (Lanús)
  • DF: Gonzalo Lujan (San Lorenzo)
  • DF: Joaquin Garcia (Vélez Sarseld)
  • DF: Nicolas Otamendi (Benfica)
  • DF: Bruno Amione (Club Santos Laguna)
  • MF: Ezequiel Fernandez (Boca Juniors)
  • MF: Kevin Zenon (Boca Juniors)
  • MF: Cristian Medina (Boca Juniors)
  • MF: Thiago Almada (Botafogo)
  • MF: Claudio Echeverri (River Plate)
  • MF: Santiago Hezze (Olympiacos)
  • FW: Luciano Gondou (Argentinos Juniors)
  • FW: Julian Alvarez (Manchester City)
  • FW: Giuliano Simeone (Deportivo Alaves)
  • FW: Lucas Beltran (Fiorentina)

The team will be managed by former Liverpool and Barcelona star, Javier Mascherano.

Key Players to Watch

Julian Alvarez of Manchester City will be Argentina’s key player as he looks to fire his nation to Olympic glory.

As well as Alvarez, Argentina will also be bolstered by the inclusion of Nicolas Otamendi and they’ll be hoping they can rely on the defender’s experience.

Fiorentina’s Lucas Beltran could also be on to keep an eye on after impressing in Serie A last season.

Expectations for Argentina’s Performance

Argentina enter every football tournament in recent times with serious hopes of doing well and even claiming the trophy.

Their performances at the 2022 World Cup and this year’s Copa America were every impressive and they’ll be very confident they can add Olympic glory to their impressive list of honours.

Javier Mascherano is taking small steps in management, and he’ll want to enhance his already glittering reputation by guiding his nation to a gold medal.

Managerial Decisions and Strategy

Still relatively new to management, Mascherano is still carving out his own identity on his team after taking the Argentina U20 job in 2021.

A ferocious player who was full of energy as well as being clam on the ball, Mascherano was one of his generation’s best players.

Playing under Rafael Benitez and Pep Guardiola, Mascherano was exposed to some outstanding football strategies, and he’ll be hopeful he can borrow from both his former bosses.

It’s already clear he favours an energetic, possession-based strategy and he’ll be eager for his team to dominate the ball in their opponent’s half.

Watching your bitter local rivals lift the Serie A crown cannot have been fun for anyone connected to the Rossoneri. It was especially painful as it means Inter Milan now have 20 league titles to AC Milan’s 19

Despite a recent title win in 2021-2022, there is a feeling that AC Milan is a sleeping giant of Italian football. A side that was so dominant during the first decade of this millennium under Carlo Ancelotti has yet to rediscover that lethal cocktail of grit and grace that was a hallmark of the 2005, 2006, and 2007 AC Milan sides.

This year, they are hoping to pull back level with Inter Milan in terms of the number of titles won, but they have a 19 point deficit in terms of quality and consistency that they must overturn.

Below, we unpick the upcoming season, the standout fixtures, the historical significance of them, and much more.

Overview of the 2024/2025 Serie A Season

Serie A remains one of the most watched, loved, and impassioned leagues in continental Europe.

In the 2023/24 season, viewing records were broken twice. The 10th round of Serie A fixtures set a new viewing figure record of 6.2 million, breaking the previous record of 6.1 million, which had been set the week before.

AC Milan plays no small role in the popularity of the league. In 2022, a study by YouGov found it to be the most well-supported team in Italy, with no fewer than 500 millions fans worldwide.

This Serie A season is shaping up to be a massive one for the Italian behemoths.

Key Fixtures and Dates

Due to their profound success over the years, AC Milan is a team with several rivals – some due to regional rivalries, others historical. But all of them are noteworthy.

Below, we breakdown the most notable:

The Milan Derby: AC Milan vs Inter Milan

While Inter Milan may have one more title in the bank, AC Milan have nine years on their rivals. The red and black stripes were founded in 1899, while the blue and black stripes came to be in 1908

Originally, the two clubs were one. But bitter board-level divisions in the future direction of the club – with the signing of foreign players at the centre of disagreements – led to a splinter group forming. This splinter group would later be called Internazionale – or Inter Milan.

Ever since, the two teams have been ferocious intra city rivals.

Last year, this fixture belonged to the blue half of Milan – they won each game 5-1 and 2-1 respectively. The latter game, held towards the end of the campaign, also saw two red cards issued.

Can the Rossoneri get their revenge when they face off in the Derby della Madonnina?

  • September 22: Inter Milan vs AC Milan
  • February 2: AC Milan vs Inter Milan

AC Milan vs Juventus FC

The oldest and longest-running derby in Italian football, AC Milan and Juventus share a rivalry that is more based on success than geography

Both are among the most successful football institutions in world football, let alone Italy. However, if you were to zoom out to the sociological and geographical implications of the clash, it’s a meeting between the cities of Turin and Milan and the cultural differences they share.

Last season, AC Milan struggled against the Old Lady, failing to register a single goal in the two league games, taking just one point from the two clashes.

This season, they face off on the following dates:

  • November 24: AC Milan vs Juventus
  • January 19: Juventus vs AC Milan

AC Milan vs Napoli

You only have to look back to the latter part of the 1980s to see where the seeds of this rivalry were planted.

The Rossoneri won back-to-back European cups in 1989 and 1990. Napoli, meanwhile, won their first two league titles in 1986 and 1990 – the latter of which pipped Milan to the trophy.

AC Milan had Marco van Basten. Napoli had Diego Maradona. It was a rivalry rich in world class quality and iconic figures.

It’s remained strong ever since.

This year, the two face off on the following dates:

  • October 30: AC Milan vs Napoli
  • March 30: Napoli vs AC Milan

AC Milan vs AS Roma

Two great teams historically, this fixture was action-packed last season. They met four times – twice in the league and twice in the Europa League.

Those four clashes spawned 11 goals and two red cards, with the Rossoneri winning both league games, but perishing in the European Cup,

They take on each other on the following dates:

  • December 29: AC Milan vs Roma
  • May 18: Roma vs AC Milan

Other Key Fixtures

While these two opponents aren’t traditional rivals, they could become serious short-term challengers to AC Milan’s position in the top four based on their upward trajectory.

Atalanta and Bologna have both shown glimpses of distinct quality and impressive consistency to finish fourth and fifth respectively in the standings last season

Bologna have lost their impressive manager, Thiago Motta, to Juventus, and some key players have departed – Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United and Marko Arnautovic to Inter Milan. However, they could still have enough to trouble the European placings once again.

Atalanta, meanwhile, are incredibly consistent under the swashbuckling guidance of their manager Gian Piero Gasperini, who ended the club’s long wait for a trophy by conquering Bundesliga’s all-conquering and invincible Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.

Last season, AC Milan only managed to bag five points from the 12 available in both fixtures against Atalanta and Bologna. They will need to do better if they are to challenge for the title.

This season, they face Bologna and Atalanta on the following dates:

  • December 8: Atalanta vs AC Milan
  • April 20: AC Milan vs Atalanta
  • October 27: Bologna vs AC Milan
  • May 11: AC Milan vs Bologna

Home and Away Matches

AC Milan had the fourth-best home record and the second-best away record in Serie A last year. They secured 40 points at home and 35 points on the road.

They scored the exact same number of goals home and away (38), but conceded 15 more goals in hostile atmospheres (32) than at the San Siro (17)

If they are to launch a serious title challenge, they will need to be less brittle in defence away from home.

Important Periods in the Schedule

If last year is anything to go by, AC Milan will need to finish the season much stronger. They managed to win just one of their final seven games in Serie A, ensuring the march to glory for their bitter rivals Inter Milan was one free of stress and anxiety.

The run-in looks tasty, too. Here’s how it is shaping up for the Rossoneri:

  • April 27: Venezia vs AC Milan
  • May 4: Genoa vs AC Milan
  • May 11: AC Milan vs Bologna
  • May 18: Roma vs AC Milan
  • May 25: AC Milan vs Monza

Expectations and Predictions

AC Milan are a seasoned Italian behemoth. They know how to win trophies and are desperate to even the keel with their intra city foes in terms of titles won.

The odds makers have them as one of the favourites behind Inter Milan, and fans will expect a deeper, more sustained title challenge than that of last season.

Recap of the Previous Season

Fans were satisfied with a top-two finish in Serie A last season, but there will be pressure for even more success, such is the scale of the club and the swathe of global fans thirsting for glory.

That taste for trophy ware will have sharpened even more after their rivals – Inter Milan – lifted their 20th title to edge ahead of AC Milan (19) in terms of domestic league triumphs.

Can the Rossoneri respond?

Inter Milan enjoyed an incredible 2023/24 campaign – coming out on top in the league, cantering home with 19 points in hand

They only lost two games the entire season, scored 89 goals – averaging 2.34 goals per game – and conceded just 22 goals, coming within just two goals of Juventus’ all-time defensive record (20 goals in 2011-12 and 2015-16).

Now, the next step is to qualify the team as a generational Serie A side. To do that, they need to go back-to-back and add some European stardust along the way.

Below, we unpick the season schedule, highlight the biggest games, and pick out some intriguing stats ahead of Inter Milan’s 2023/24 campaign.

Overview of the 2024/2025 Serie A Season

We are entering the 123rd season of top-tier Italian football and the 93rd in a round-robin tournament.

Its historical significance, the meaning it takes on for Italian football fans and the standing it has in European football makes every Serie A season intriguing and unmissable.

Can Inter Milan see off the cavalry? Will Juventus bounce back? When will the sleeping dragon of Italian football – AC Milan – begin to breathe fire once more?

At the bottom, promoted sides Parma, Como, and Venezia will aim to stay stay safe and solidify their spot in Italy’s top flight.

There’s all to play for – which team will come out on top?

Key Fixtures and Dates

Like any Italian football club, there are plots and subplots between Inter Milan and their title rivals, local rivals, traditional rivals, and any other team that has crossed the Nerazzurri.

Below, we highlight the biggest matches, shining a light on the clashes that dominate the Serie A scape.

The Milan Derby: Inter Milan vs AC Milan

One of the biggest local rivalries in any league around the world, it is also known as the Derby della Madonnina and dates back to the early 20th century, holding immense significance for fans and players alike.

AC Milan were formed in 1899, uniting Italy’s famous old city in football. However, some trouble in paradise early on led to an internal conflict on the board. The issues arose from the drafting of foreign players, which was forbidden by AC Milan’s board.

It led to a splinter group forming. In 1908, Inter Milan came into existence, and ever since, the two clubs have had a fiery and brutal relationship brimming with red cards, scuffles, and large doses of breath-taking quality.

The current head-to-head record between the two reads like this

  • Inter Milan – 80 wins
  • AC Milan – 71 wins
  • Draws – 67

Last season, Inter won both fixtures, winning the first game 5-1 before coming out on top in the reverse fixture 2-1. The latter result spawned three red cards, with AC Milan finishing the game with nine players and Inter with ten.

Can AC Milan begin to close the gap?

This season, the Milan derby takes place on the following dates:

  • September 22: Inter Milan vs AC Milan
  • February 2: AC Milan vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan vs Juventus FC

The Derby d’Italia is as much about regional rivalry as it is about past successes. You are talking about two of the most successful teams in Italy – it’s just a matter of chance they happen to both hail from northern Italy.

Last year, Inter managed to take four points from this fixture – and it’s been a loaded fixture of late, with four red cards dished out in the previous five meetings between the two.

This season, the two are scheduled to meet on the following dates:

  • October 27: Inter Milan vs Juventus
  • February 16: Juventus vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan vs Napoli

It was Napoli’s crown that was taken in Inter’s league triumph.

The 2022-23 champions, who memorably won the title for the first time in more than 30 years, delivered a meek defence, finishing 10th on just 53 points – a whopping 41 points behind Inter Milan

Last season, Inter Milan mustered four points from the six available in their clash with Napoli.

The two are set to match-up across the following dates:

  • November 10: Inter Milan vs Napoli
  • March 2: Napoli vs Inter Milan

Inter Milan vs AS Roma

While there is no local rivalry here, there is a distinct dislike between the two teams, which is largely down to the success of each side.

This fixture was a profitable one for the champions last year – they bagged six points, scoring five goals and conceding just two across both games.

Indeed, Inter have won seven of their last eight meetings with Roma in all competitions.

Can they keep the good run going when they face each other on the following dates?

  • October 19: Roma vs Inter Milan
  • April 26: Inter Milan vs Roma

Other Key Fixtures

Remarkably, the only team to beat Inter Milan in the 2023/24 Serie A season was the now-relegated Sassuolo, who beat them 2-1 at the San Siro before emerging 1-0 victors at the Città del Tricolore later in the campaign. Those two victories accounted for 28% of Sassuolo’s entire number of wins in Serie A.

While they don’t have to worry about Sassuolo, those results are perhaps a cautionary tale with the three clubs promoted from Serie B.

It is likely Inter Milan will have to get maximum points from Parma, Como, and Venezia FC if they are to defend their title. Similar slip-ups could prove problematic.

They face those relegated teams across the following dates:

  • November 2: Inter Milan vs Venezia
  • December 7: Inter Milan vs Parma
  • December 21: Inter Milan vs Como
  • January 11: Venezia vs Inter Milan
  • April 5: Parma vs Inter Milan
  • May 24: Como vs Inter Milan

Home and Away Matches

Inter Milan were nigh on flawless last season, but their away record was more impressive than their home record, with 2.42 points per game at the San Siro and 2.53 points per game on the road.

A similar record, home and away, will be crucial if they are to defend their crown.

Important Periods in the Schedule

A fast start can make a massive difference to a campaign. If Inter Milan can get up and running quickly, they could prove difficult to stop. Momentum is a very real and prevalent unquantifiable

The good news for Inter Milan is it’s a gentle beginning to the campaign. Three of the first four games are against teams that finished in the bottom half of Serie A last year – Genoa (11th), Monza (12th), and Lecce (14th).

It’s the perfect run-in before the Derby della Madonnina.

Here’s how the first five games stack up:

  • August 17: Genoa vs Inter Milan
  • August 24: Inter Milan vs Lecce
  • August 30: Inter Milan vs Atalanta
  • September 15: Monza vs Inter Milan
  • September 22: Inter Milan vs AC Milan

Expectations and Predictions

The bookmakers have Inter Milan as favourites to retain their title, ahead of the likes of Juventus and AC Milan.

It’s hard to see how they don’t launch another challenge. They have been very savvy in the market, acquiring the likes of Davide Frattesi, Piotr Zieliński, and Medhi Taremi from Bologna, Napoli, and Porto respectively.

They can win back-to-back titles.

Recap of the Previous Season

Inter Milan enjoyed an historic season in 2023/24.

They won the league at a canter. They lost just two games all season long. They won the Supercoppa Italia.

A mean defence – one of the best in the competition’s history – and the tactical prowess of Simone Inzaghi helped them back to the top of Serie A.

Last year’s star signing, Marcus Thuram, was extremely potent alongside club legend Lautaro Martínez, and made a real difference to the best attack in Serie A by a long way.  Indeed, between Thuram (13 goals), Martínez (24 goals) and their experienced Turkish playmaker, Hakan Çalhanoğlu (13 goals), the three of them contributed 50 league goals.

Last year, they benefited from a lack of any sustained challenge. How will they fare if one of their traditional rivals puts together a title run? That’s the question Inzaghi and his charges will have to answer.

All eyes will be on them ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

Manchester City are aiming for the fifth Premier League title in a row and they’re spending their pre-season getting ready for it.

Transfers are often taking place at the Etihad and here we’ll look at what could happen for the English champions this summer.

Key Signings

The main signing so far for City is the arrival of Brazil’s Savio who’s arrived from Troyes for a reported fee of £21m.

City are likely to strengthen their squad further throughout the summer and updates will be provided here.

Notable Departures

No major outgoings have taken so place so far but there is speculation linking Ederson and Kevin de Bruyne to moves away from the club.

Liam Delap has joined Ipswich Town whilst Taylor Harwood-Bellis has left for Southampton.

Lewis Fiorini, Sergio Gomez, and Tommy Doyle have also left the club.

Transfer Strategy and Objectives

A lot of City’s business will be based on what outgoings take place at the club as Kevin de Bruyne and Ederson will urgently need replacing.

No names are currently linked to the club, but City are known to be huge admirers of Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala.

Could the German midfielder be the man to step in and replace De Bruyne.

Elsewhere in the squad, Pep Guardiola is likely to be content with his players and may just add some additional players for injury purposes.

Key Fixtures and Challenges

The big challenge for City this season will be dealing with the potential absence of Kevin de Bruyne, and they replace the magical Belgian.

Apart from that, City could be chased down by Arsenal and Liverpool who’ll both be confident they can improve on their 2023/24 seasons by finishing above City.

City start their campaign against Chelsea, and with the fixture taking place at Stamford Bridge, it could prove to be a tricky start.

Fan Reactions and Expectations

The expectations at City are always high and fans of the club will be hoping they achieve success in both the Premier League and Champions League.

Arsenal and Liverpool will be a concern and their transfer activity could go a long way in helping either side overtake City.

This could be Pep Guardiola’s last season and he’ll be aiming to leave on a high with another Premier League title.

After a jam-packed summer, in which Spain bested England in the final of the European Championships to be crowned champions for a record fourth time.

Now, all attention is on the domestic season that lies ahead and fans of the Old Lady are already getting excited after some eye-catching signings.

Below, we take a look at the full season schedule, the stand out fixtures, the notable dates, and much more.

Overview of the 2024/2025 Serie A Season

Italian football is becoming harder to predict – the quality of teams is increasing, the number of superstars in the division is growing, and the coaching is at a higher standard.

It is approaching five years since Juventus got their hands on the title. No club has won it more than the Turin outfit (36 times), so there will be a thirst for ending the drought sooner rather than later.

Can they get back on the title-winning horse this season?

Key Fixtures and Dates

Some matches mean more than others – and Juventus have their fair share of raucous rivalries, many of which have been emboldened by a period of unprecedented success down the years.

Below, find the dates in the calendar that stand out like a sore thumb, the ones that will have fans booking flights and making plans months out.

The Turin Derby: Juventus FC vs Torino

Otherwise known as the Derby della Mole, named as such after Mole Antonelliana – a major landmark in the city – the match-up between Juventus and Torino is all about intercity bragging rights.

This season, the two are scheduled to meet on the following dates

  • November 10: Juventus vs Torino
  • January 12: Torino vs Juventus

Expect tense and cagey affairs – last season, Juventus came out on top 2-0 at home, while the reverse fixture finished 0-0.

This has been a contest dominated by the black and white stripes in recent times – you have to go back to 2015 to see the last time Torino beat Juventus in the league.

Since then, Juventus are unbeaten in 18 league matches, winning 13 of them.

Juventus FC vs Inter Milan

The highlight of the Italian football calendar, the Derby d’Italia (the nickname for the match between Juventus and Inter Milan) ranks alongside El Clasico in Spain and Le Classique in France as leading European derbies.

As it stands, the fixtures are down for the following dates, although they are subject to change due to television demands.

  • October 27: Inter Milan vs Juventus
  • February 16: Juventus vs Inter Milan

Juventus only managed to capture one point from their two games with eventual champions Inter Milan in the 2023/24 season

With so much on the line in these rivalries, both clubs tend to put safety first. Indeed, in the last six league matches between these two, there have been two goals or fewer.

Juventus FC vs AC Milan

Although it’s not quite as seismic as the game between Juventus and Inter Milan, this clash represents the wider rivalry between the cities of Turin and Milan

This year, the games are taking place on the following dates:

November 24: AC Milan vs Juventus

January 19: Juventus vs AC Milan

The last three league games between these two spawned one win for the Old Lady, one win for I Rossoneri, and one draw. If you wanted further proof as to the tightness of this rivalry, only two goals were scored over the course of those three affairs.

Will we see more low-scoring, edge-of-your-seat encounters?

Juventus FC vs Napoli

Another game with historic, regional undertones, the Juventus and Napoli clash pits Italian football from the north and the south against one another.

Styles clash and sparks usually fly. You can watch them take each other on across the following dates this year:

  • September 22: Juventus vs Napoli
  • January 26: Napoli vs Juventus

The last two games between these two have produced ten yellow cards – expect some more fireworks this season.

Juventus FC vs AS Roma

Last, but no means least, in the list of notable Juventus fixtures in the upcoming season is the showdown with Roma.

Juventus managed to bag four points in the two league games against them last season.

This season, they face each other on the following dates:

  • September 1: Juventus vs Roma
  • April 6: Roma vs Juventus

Other Key Fixtures

In truth, every single game at Juventus is key. The pressure for trophy ware from fans is immense – any game where the result is not a positive one is hyper-analysed.

However, it is worth pointing to the ferocious rivalry with Fiorentina, which was established as a result of the bad blood in the transfer of Roberto Baggio Fiorentina to Juventus in 1990.

Games are always spicy between the two clubs, and the fans of both sides love to get one over on the other team.

This year, the two teams will match up on the following dates:

  • December 29: Juventus vs Fiorentina
  • March 16: Fiorentina vs Juventus

Home and Away Matches

There is no getting away from the fact that last year was a disappointing one in terms of Juventus’ final league position.

They managed to score just 26 goals at the Allianz Stadium – the third-fewest scored at home of all the top ten clubs. Indeed, they finished sixth based on home  results, amassing 40 points from their 19 games. In contrast, champions Inter Milan picked up 46 points.

They picked up 31 points on the road, which represents the third-best points haul in the season.

Important Periods in the Schedule

The Christmas period is always a challenging period for any team, given the build-up of fixtures, the inclement weather, and the gruelling fitness required to get through unscathed.

But it looks especially tough for the Old Lady – their fixture schedule reads as follows:

  • December 29: Juventus vs Fiorentina
  • January 5: Atalanta vs Juventus
  • January 12: Torino vs Juventus
  • January 19: Juventus vs AC Milan
  • January 26: Napoli vs Juventus

Expectations and Predictions

Every season represents an all-encompassing endurance event for Juventus and their supporters. The club motto is “Fino alla Fine”, which translates to “Until the End” – it’s that never-ending commitment to winning and glory that means expectations are set high and stay that way from the moment the campaign kicks off.

The fans won’t accept anything other than a title-challenge and a deep run in a cup competition.

Can they deliver under the new stewardship of Thiago Motta? We think a top-three finish is in the offing.

Prediction: 3rd

Socios.com Partners y Juventus FC Fan Tokens

Socios.com is in an official partnership with Serie A and Juventus FC for the upcoming season. As a global leader in blockchain-based fan engagement, Socios are hoping to use the league as a springboard for fans who are looking to engage with their team in different ways than before .

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the importance of fan engagement for sports teams. This can be attributed to various factors such as technological advancements, changing consumer behaviours, and increased competition between teams.

Socios works by using blockchain technology to create and distribute fan tokens for sports teams. These tokens are unique digital assets that give fans ownership in the team and a say in important decisions through voting rights.

Fan tokens also offer a range of benefits for fans, including:

  • Ownership in the Team: By holding fan tokens, fans have a sense of ownership and pride in their team, making them more invested and passionate about the team’s success.
  • Influence in Decision-Making: Fan tokens give fans a say in important decisions for the team, allowing them to feel involved and valued by their favourite teams.
  • Exclusive Benefits: Token holders often have access to exclusive benefits such as VIP experiences, merchandise discounts, and other rewards that are not available to non-token holders.

Recap of the Previous Season

There’s no two ways about it – last year was a campaign to forget for the Old Lady, at least in the league.

They managed to lift the Coppa Italia trophy with a 1-0 victory over Atalanta – it’s the 15th time they have won the competition, extending the record for the most Coppa Italia cup wins by a single club.

But nothing but a league title will satisfy the faithful in Turin. New manager Motta will have to get his charges playing well right from the off if he is to keep the vultures from circling.

One of football’s most iconic stadiums in the San Siro in Milan, the home of both Milan clubs including one of the giants of European football, AC Milan.

The beautiful San Siro has long been one of the world’s best stadiums and the history at the venue has ensured that sport fans have travelled from far and wide to witness the action that takes place there.

Here, we take a look at one of football’s most historic venues.

San Siro AC Milan History – A Journey Through Time

Constructed in 1925, the San Siro was opened the following year and was introduced to the world with a Milan derby that saw Inter win 6-3.

Home of both Milan clubs, the stadium has numerous high-profile games, but it’s also played its part for the national team including being one of the main venues at Italia 90.

As well as football the stadium has also hosted other events such as boxing, rugby union, and many concerts.

Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, and Coldplay are just a number of performers who’ve played at the San Siro.

San Siro AC Milan Renovation – Shaping the Modern Jewel

After opening in 1926, we the first set of renovations occurred in the 1940s when there was plans to increase the capacity to 150,000.

Those ideas were eventually put on hold, and it was agreed that the new capacity would be 75,000.

Further work took place for the 1990 World Cup with the towers at the corner of the stadium being redeveloped for the tournament with work also done on the roof.

In 1996, a museum was opened at the stadium to highlight the incredible success of AC Milan and their biggest rivals, Inter.

San Siro AC Milan Capacity – A Sea of Black and White

The atmosphere at the San Siro for an AC Milan game is incredible and the venue is on the bucket list of many football supporters who wish to watch one of the giants of European football.

Milan’s fans have long been considered the working-class people of the city and they’ve always turned out in numbers to support their team.

Loud and passionate, Milan’s reputation and reach is global, and their supporters play a huge part in that as they’ve created such a passionate atmosphere to help their players on many occasions.

Just like other major European clubs like Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund, Milan are famed for their fanatical support.

Where is San Siro AC Milan? – Navigating the Heart of Milan

The San Siro is located in the northwest of Milan and is very much a central part of the city and a huge tourist attraction in one of Europe’s major cities.

Iconic for sporting reasons, the stadium is in use every weekend during the Serie A season, and it has football fans coming from everywhere to watch games, and also just to catch a glimpse of the stadium.

Transport access to the stadium is fairly routine with buses and trains accessing the venue.
